Isabel Gabbe is of the opinion that to communicate through music removes all hinderances to communication. So it is hardly surprising to hear that the pianist and music teacher of German and French parents, performs not only as a soloist but also in the role of chamber muscian and song accompanist. She has played in the Berlin Philharmonie and Concerthouse, the Glocke in Bremen, the Theatro Guaira in South America and in the Philharmonie of Cologne.

In 2016 she received the title of Professor for piano and piano teaching at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg which is based in Innsbruck, Austria. She gives masterclasses and advanced training within Europe and also in Brazil.

 

Isabel has reguarly taken part in the Piano festival Ruhr where she specialised in establishing a childrens teaching section.

The “Moments Musicaux” chamber music festival which takes place yearly in France was founded by Isabel. Between 2005 and 2017 in the role of manager of this festival, she was able to introduce well known artists to up and coming talents of the music world. She was also able to incorperate lesser known but praiseworthy pieces of music into the programme.

 

Isabel has won numerous national and international prizes as soloist and chamber musician. Among others, from the Bremer piano competitions and in duet competitions in Barcelona (Spain) and Caltanissetta (Italy) and in competitions from the German music council. She has taken part in competitions within Germany. France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Lithuania, Brazil and in America.

 

Isabel has played numerous times in radio and on television. She has performed on German radio Berlin, Free channel Berlin, WDR, France 2, and Radio Bremen.

Her debut CD was released in 2006 with suites from Debussy, Ravel, Bach and Albeniz.

In 2013 she released a contemporary CD with music from the componist John Patrick Thomas where she was accompanied by the Soprano Julia Henning.

2014 saw the release of Rossini´s “Petite Messe Solenelle” where she was accompanied by the Kettwiger Bach Choir.

In 2015, Isabel released “Weihhnachtsmann, mach Du das mal!” with the innovative musiklabel Kaleidos Musikeditionen.
